What’s up guys, Daniel speaking. Wow, we’ve had a crazy weak! Let me start off with the Grand Canyon. Well actually, I wasn’t that excited about the Grand Canyon at first. It took me a minuet to actually start liking it. Buy when I did, everything changed about the way I thought about the Grand Canyon. It looked so beautiful, I couldn’t believe my eyes. We stopped at every look-out spot we could. Every spot was so different than the others. Now time for our next stop.

Vegas, my parents took us kids to see the city of lights. When ever we drove through, we thought it was so cool, but that was just a little stop compared to what’s coming up.

After our night in Las Vegas, we went to Hoover Dam. We got the perfect spot when we got to the top of the top of the bridge. Then after that we drove down to the dam to drive across it to get to the Ghost Town.
The Ghost Town wasn’t quit what I was thinking. I thought it was like a little town people thought was haunted. But no, it was a town where people once lived but there was a little problem. The price of silver went down so fast. That’s why nobody lives there except for the people that run the place.

After that we got to Anaheim, California. That's where we are now...so, we'll catch up later.

On the Road

Hey, this is Anagrace speaking…

Walking the Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge

Let me tell you about this crazy week! First we went to the Grand Canyon. It was really fun, but I was sick. I had strep throat. After the Grand Canyon we went to Los Vegas to stay the night. At the hotel there were three King size beds! After a good night sleep we went to Hoover dam. It was huge! Then we went to Calico. Calico is a ghost town. It was really fun! Last but not least we went home! I was so excited!
Ugh...I was sick at Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon was snowy!

This is Julia. We went to the Grand Canyon. We spent the night at a hotel. Then we went to Hover Dam.  We went to a Ghost Town called Calico.  There was a wood store that had lots of puzzles in it.  After the Ghost Town we went to Anaheim.  I went WOW!  When we got home there were so many boxes.  We also met lots of new friends.  There is so much sunshine.  We went to Downtown Disney and the beach.  We can see fireworks from Daniel’s window every night.  We have a lemon tree.  We made lemonade from lemons off of the lemon tree.  We ride our bikes every day to the playground.  There is a slide and it goes really fast.  I’m having a great time.  The End.

Hello Again

In the Left Hand Tunnel

With Grandad @ the park!

Checking out the scenary @ Arches

Nana and I baked a cake!

Hey everyone, this is Anagrace! On Sunday we went to the Left Hand Tunnel at Carlsbad Caverns. Left Hand Tunnel was so dark! When we turned our lanterns out you couldn't see anything. It was like keeping your eyes shut.
After the Left Hand Tunnel tour  we had a really long drive to our great-grandparents. Nana and Grandad took us to a pool and I went down the water slide 40 times! I counted every time I went down. We came back home and I made a cake with Nana.

The next morning we woke up really early and went to Arches National Park. It took about 3 hours to drive there. We had a really fun day. One of the arches was called Pine Tree Arch. That was the arch that you could go in.

We were driving home and there was a huge line of cars and I figured out why there was a huge line...a big truck went into the other lane and hit a Toyota. Three people died. Two people were burned bad because the cars caught on fire.

Today we went to downtown Durango. Nana bought us a whole bunch of things. First we went to a clothes store and we got some new clothes. Then we got t-shirts made at the t-shirt shop. Then we went to the candy store! I made my own bag of candy and it had jelly beans, M & M's and sour gummy worms! Thanks Nana and Grandad...it was so much fun. I had a great time in Durango.

Just Checking In

What's up? This is Daniel. I am in Durango at my Nana and Grandad's home. Two days ago we went to Arches National Park in Utah. We had a lot of fun there. We climbed rocks, unlike at the caverns. We had a little picnic. It was funny because Odie almost bit mom's hand off! She gave him a bite of corned beef and he was very hungry. He snatched it! He almost never does that. It was funny.

The next day we went to downtown Durango. We made our own t-shirts. Mine has a snowboarder on it. My sisters all made their own, but they aren't as cool as mine! After that we went to the candy shop. I told Anagrace to close her eyes because she loves candy! Then we ate dinner at a Chinese restaurant. We had a great time this week with Nana and Grandad.

Catching Life on Video
Hey, this is Emma!  We went back to Carlsbad Cavern for one more tour. It was called the Left Hand Tunnel. It was really dark. There were no lights. We had to carry a lantern and follow the ranger. It was funny because we went all the way through the cave and back and then Daniel fell on the flattest part of the walk! After that we ate lunch and drove across New Mexico. Nine hours later we were at my great-grandparents' house.

We got to our great-grandparents' home on Sunday night. The next morning we ate breakfast and played a card game. We took naps. After that we went swimming. At the pool I was scared to go on the water slide at first, but it ended up being super-duper fun! If you sit up, the slide was slow. But, if you lay down it is so fast! We all curled up into a ball and went even faster down the slide.

The next day we went to Arches National Park in Utah. We hiked around and saw a lot of arches. There was one arch that we could go under. After that we ate lunch and then went to Balanced Rock. This is a rock on another rock that is balanced so it won't fall.

Yesterday, we went to downtown Durango to hangout with Nana and Grandad. We bought t-shirts and we went to the library and then watched Daniel skateboard. We ate at a really good Chinese restaurant for dinner.

I had so much fun with Nana and Grandad!
